My vague rumor that there’s gonna be an Xbox event in early 2023: There have been rumors that Xbox is preparing for a big reveal event.
Over the past decade, gaming firms have shifted from holding one massive event annually at E3 to holding a number of smaller events throughout the year.
This marketing strategy has been used by a wide variety of firms, with Nintendo essentially kicking off the trend with its Nintendo Directs, PlayStation following suit with its State of Play events, and other companies like Ubisoft following suit.
Xbox, on the other hand, has mostly persisted in saving its announcements for major yearly events like E3. Although there have been a few notable outliers in recent years, supporters often do not have this expectation.
Nonetheless, that might shift in some way in the near future. Jez Corden of WindowsCentral and his co-host on the XboxTwo podcast, Rand al Thor 19, have both claimed to have heard from reliable sources that Xbox will be holding a major showcase event in 2023.
As Corden said, he wasn’t able to independently confirm it, but he is quite confident in it based on previous rumors and clues among the Xbox community.
Right now, we have no idea what would be presented at this occasion, but we can surely speculate. Although we know that the games Starfield and Redfall will be released in the first half of 2023, exact release dates are yet unknown, and substantial promotion is required.
My vague rumor that there's gonna be an Xbox event in early 2023 is starting to look quite likely true.
What would you want to see from this kind of event?

In the absence of bad news, it’s definitely appropriate to talk about games like Fable, Perfect Dark, Avowed, and many more that have languished in the shadows for years.
Aside from a rather generic Xbox advertisement, which was shown at The Game Awards, Xbox was conspicuously absent.
Many people were taken aback by this news, considering previous years’ Game Awards had seen the unveiling of exclusives like Hellblade 2 and Perfect Dark. Since Microsoft will likely want to make a big deal out of the debut of Starfield, a new Xbox event is likely to be held before the game’s release, but no other major industry events are scheduled for the foreseeable future.
