Whatsapp Will Prevent Users From Taking Screenshots of Certain Media
For material transmitted using the “View Once” option, the current WhatsApp beta version on TestFlight for iPhone users prevents snapshots and screen recordings, as noticed by WABetaInfo, which is recognized for reporting what’s new in WhatsApp betas.
WhatsApp now displays a notice claiming the capture was “restricted for increased privacy” whenever a user tries to take a screenshot while watching a “View Once” media. Users using the 22.21.0.71 beta version of WhatsApp can get the update (build 405622068). The new privacy feature will be enabled by default for all WhatsApp users once it is released, and cannot be turned off.
