Audi TTS vs Porsche Cayman Drag Race

Porsche now offers a diverse selection of cars, including coupes, convertibles, sedans, and crossovers of varying body styles, engine displacements, and other specifications. CarWow gathers the most potent base models from across the brand’s catalog for an exciting drag race.

There are a total of six vehicles on the asphalt: a 911 Turbo S, a Taycan Turbo S, a Panamera Turbo S, a Cayenne Turbo GT, a 718 Boxster GTS, and a Macan GTS.

Three drag races will kick off the tournament. At first, the Macan GTS had trouble getting off the ground. The second time around, the Cayenne Turbo GT experiences the same problem. On the third try, everything works out perfectly.

Three repetitions of the drag race between the Porsches reveal their respective performance. As expected, the 911 Turbo S is the fastest of the lot, with the Taycan coming in at a close second. It’s safe to say that the Panamera and Cayenne are in the center of the pack. The Macan GTS is the slowest of the group, and it is followed by the Boxster.

The following step is a series of three half-mile races that begin with a roll. When you first try it, you’ll be in third gear, regular mode. After that, they face off against one another in athletic competition. At long last, drivers get to choose their own starting gear.

When traveling at the speed limit on the highway, the Taycan takes off. Faster than 100 miles per hour, the 911 Turbo is in the lead (161 kilometers per hour). In one race, the Cayenne GT finishes third, but in the other two, the Panamera holds that position. Every time, the Boxster and Macan round up the top three.

Unexpectedly, the brake test shows some interesting data. The Cayenne GT, despite its massive dimensions, has the lowest stopping distance of any production car. Panamera comes in as a close second, followed by the 911 Turbo. The Taycan is in the fourth position. Once again, the Macan comes in last, followed by the Boxster.

We wonder if a Cayman GT4 RS was substituted for the Boxster GTS in similar competitions, how the outcomes would alter. The GTS versions only make 394 hp (294 kW), whereas this one gets 493 hp (368 kW) from its 4.0-liter flat-six engine.

This is not quite as powerful as the Panamera Turbo S, which has 620 horsepower (463 kW), but it should help close the gap between the two on the drag strip.
