The superpowered AI bots in DMZ have been nerfed, but they may still effect Warzone 2

The superpowered AI bots in DMZ have been nerfed, but they may still effect Warzone 2: When the basic difficulty of all AI combatants was unintentionally increased in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 midseason update for season one, the reign of terror of the superpowered AI bots over Al Mazrah was finally put to an end in DMZ. It would appear that powerful AI bots are still a major concern in Warzone 2.

Both Warzone 2 and DMZ have strongholds, which are AI-controlled fortifications with elite loot for players who can take them down. However, in Warzone 2, players were having a bit too much trouble taking down strongholds, therefore the “Season 01 Reloaded Patch” was intended to weaken the AI.

The original plan called for a 26% drop in AI damage and a 50% reduction in AI numbers, but instead, the number of strongholds was expanded from three to five.

In addition, we spread out the reinforcement waves farther and cut back on the total number of forces deployed in each one by about a third. However, it is not precisely what transpired.

As a side effect of one of the updates revisions, the DMZ bots’ base AI warriors received a massive power increase, making them virtually invincible. In addition, the problem was severely impacting players’ ability to do anything in DMZ, since artificially intelligent enemies were more prevalent across the map than in Warzone 2.

However, a patch for this problem has supposedly been made available by Raven Software as of the 16th of December.

However, the problem of AI bots’ complexity may not have been overcome entirely. It has been noted that some gamers feel that artificial intelligence enemies are too difficult.

Streamer TimTheTatman has been one of the most vocal opponents, claiming that bots are “destroying Warzone 2” in a video he published last week. And just yesterday, he posted the above video of the conclusion of his duos game with Cloakzy, which was lost against a bot with laser beam aim after it wandered far from its fortress.

Not only Tim, but everyone else is angry. Previous professional player Crimsix informed CoD in the comments on his clip “just because you CAN do something, doesn’t mean you SHOULD.”

Since AI is producing results, FaZe Jev jokingly suggested that human players be allowed to watch“10x the gameplay we’re getting regularly.”
