PlayStation has unveiled the free games for PS Plus members in October 2022, and they are packing the heat. This is the first time in almost a year that we haven’t had the titles leaked ahead of time. On October 4, all PlayStation Plus members will be able to download Hot Wheels Unleashed, Superhot, and Injustice 2.
Sony has revealed the October 2022 roster of free PS Plus titles. It’s the first time in roughly a year that the whole lineup hasn’t been revealed in advance, despite the fact that two of the games were leaked early. On October 4, all PlayStation Plus members will be able to download Injustice 2, Hot Wheels Unleashed, and Superhot.
Arcade racing game Hot Wheels Unleashed was published last year to mostly positive reviews. In our Hot Wheels Unleashed review, we ranked the crazy racer at 7 out of 10. The racing mechanics are sound, and there are plenty of courses to choose from, but there is a risk of monotony.
The game also allows players to create their own tracks, which they can then use to compete against one another in multiplayer online races. Hot Wheels Unleashed will be free to download on PS4 and PS5.
You’re missing out if you haven’t played Injustice 2. The newest DC Super Heroes fighting game from NetherRealm is a blast. The game maybe five years old, but Injustice 2 still looks and plays fantastically.
There’s a tonne of awesome, original stuff, like a well-executed narrative mode and a multitude of challenges, each with its own special rewards. The impressive cast is supported by a fun levelling and equipment system that encourages long-term commitment. According to our Injustice 2 review, it’s still one of the finest games of its kind from the past decade.
Superhot, one of the finest independent games of recent memory, rounds off the list. The first-person shooter Superhot is also a puzzle game. The game’s central mechanic is avoiding being shot as you make your way through several rooms.
You can only advance the clock by moving, so when you stop, your adversaries do too. You need a strategy to eliminate evil people without getting hurt, and you need to prepare your movements ahead of time. It’s a fun and original game that deserves to be experienced by everyone.
