Elden Ring wins Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2022: An exciting ceremony has concluded, as Elden Ring has been named Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2022.
The newest Bandai Namco game joined the ranks of other great games released in 2022, including God of War: Ragnarok, Horizon: Forbidden Throne, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Stray, and A Plague Tale: Requiem.
After an incredible performance of each of the nominated themes by the show’s orchestra, the game is announced as the winner at the very end of The Game Awards 2022. The candidates for this year’s awards feature a wide variety of high-quality titles, but most people expected Elden Ring or God of War: Ragnarok to take home the top prize.
The Game Awards 2022 Bestowed Its Top Honour for Elden Ring
The last chapter of The Game Awards has concluded, and the winner of Game of the Year is revealed to be Elden Ring. Back on February 25th, when the game was first released, it received a lot of acclaim for its open world, environmental storytelling, and gaming features.“Hidetaka Miyazaki masterpiece that breaks the Soulsborne genre limits, “A reviewer from Sportskeeda gave the game a 9 out of 10 and remarked on how the Lands Between’s colorful aesthetic made it feel like a live world that players got to participate in.
The environmental storytelling was well done, offering tantalizing glimpses into the world without giving anything away to the Tarnished.
On one of the most important nights of the year for the video game industry, Elden Ring and God of War Ragnarok were among the most hotly contested nominees for the most prestigious prize.
Most of the awards went to Santa Monica Studio’s Kratos: Norse Chronicles sequel, but the night belonged to Miyazaki’s newest role-playing game.

During his victory speech, the prize winner did hint that the Tarnisheds might want to stick their toes into the waters of the Lands Between because there are new chapters waiting to be written there. What kind of bizarro inventions the geniuses at FromSoftware will come up with is anyone’s guess. At this point, they may bask in the glory of their hard-earned victory.
When Miyazaki had concluded his victory speech, a random stranger managed to make his way to the microphone and ruin the happy moment for Elden Ring. Social media users responded with a flood of memes and postings poking fun at the situation.
