Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 is Out Now

Call of Duty Warzone 2.0: It’s been an exciting week for us at the IW Studio, where we’ve been showing off DMZ for the first time to streamers and content makers.

We wanted to go a little further into this thrilling new experience before the release of Warzone 2.0 next week.

The DMZ features that gamers may look forward to are as follows:

In DMZ, players are free to explore a world that is both perilous and rich in variety and depth. With Faction Missions, Contracts, World Events, filling up the Stash, helping out other squads (or spreading mayhem), cracking open sealed locations, and much more, there’s enough to accomplish in this live world from the very first day of the DMZ’s existence.

It’s a sandbox game, so people of varying ability levels can play as they choose and still win. The objective is to survive long enough to collect as much treasure as possible before escaping from a hostile environment populated by both AQ Forces and opposing Operators. You may play for your own stakes and, in the end, get some powerful new tools for use in the remainder of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0.

Though participants have some leeway in how and where they participate, all operators must leave the Al Mazrah Exclusion Zone in order to cash in. Players will compete to become mode masters by exploring the various challenges and benefits available in the mode. Although DMZ officially starts at Al Mazrah, its ultimate destination is unknown.

Stash/Inventory

The Exclusion Zone Stash is where guns and other valuables are stored during a Demilitarized Zone operation. At the outset, players will have access to a restricted number of free Contraband weapons. If you lose your contraband firearms in combat, they are gone for good. DMZ is the only place where they may be used legally. When a player extracts an illegal weapon they have obtained from another player or an enemy on the field, they are breaking the rules.

If you’ve made a modification to a weapon or have a Weapon Blueprint that you’d like to share, we encourage you to bring it into the DMZ.

There will initially be one Insured Weapon slot available for use with any weapon or Weapon Blueprint in your own loadout. Gaining experience with Factions unlocks more slots for insured weapons.

Those who aren’t satisfied with the standard method of gaining weapon XP by playing matches will be pleased to know that infiltrations will now be an option. Obtaining an illegal firearm allows access to Gunsmith’s starting weapon (usable in Multiplayer and Battle Royale).

Remember that filing an insurance claim for a lost insured firearm might take some time unless you’re ready to pay a hefty premium. Extracted By inserting cash or valuables, you can shorten the waiting time for these machines.

Certain things you’ve smuggled out of the Exclusion Zone are stored in your Stash, and they may be added to your Loadout and Backpack for use on your next incursion to get entry to restricted areas.

When an Operator’s Backpack becomes too full during a battle, they can go to one of six different Dead Drop sites to store things until they can be extracted.

Missions, Loadout, and Infil

DMZ is designed for teams of three, however, you may play as a solo or duo by turning off the squad fill feature. Since the Al Mazrah Exclusion Zone is so hazardous, we advise you to venture there in groups of three at first.

Accepting Faction Missions will help you learn the game and earn your first DMZ prizes. You begin with the Legion and get access to the White Lotus and Black Mous, three of the most powerful PMC factions on our planet, by performing tasks for other factions.

Your progress through a Faction’s Mission Tiers is determined by the amount of Faction Missions you’ve completed. Challenges and rewards of this magnitude are to be expected from such tasks.

Players will sneak into the Exclusion Zone carrying their preferred loadout of either insured items or contraband. They may bring all they own or nothing at all; sometimes, all that’s needed is a set of fists and a dream. Because the infiltration site is chosen at random, no two DMZ battles are ever the same.

Players can acquire more things by using their Backpacks to remove them from the Exclusion Zone. To give just one example, players will be able to execute a “supply run” to prepare for an upcoming deployment.

The Backpack isn’t the only “on-soldier” equipment that allows players to escape the planet. Self-revives, armour plate carriers, etc. This is a must-have for infiltrators who want to start fighting strong opponents right away in their next encounter.

Around the Prohibited Area

In addition to completing Faction Missions, players may venture out into the Exclusion Zone to find new loot and complete side missions. Participating in World Events, like activating a SAM Turret or a UAV Tower, or performing Contracts like rescuing a captive or eliminating a high-value target are examples.

In the same vein as Warzone 2.0, players may anticipate looting that makes sense, since objects in Al Mazrah can be found in locations where they would make sense in the real world, such as a medicine cabinet or hospital. Additional tactical equipment could be kept at a police or military outpost.

Aside from the Exclusion Zone and AQ-guarded Strongholds, much of Al Mazrah is open for exploration. In order to get access to these valuable locations, players must first earn keys to unlock the doors.

Although Al Mazrah will not experience a circle collapse, players will still need to keep an eye out for radiation and the occasional sandstorm. To now, we have no idea what is producing this lethal energy, or what benefits the Operators could get from locating its origin.

In DMZ, like in the other game modes, you are on your own to plan out your own road to victory, and there are plenty of payoffs for doing so. Accessories like XP Tokens, Calling Cards, Weapon Charms, and more will gain a bonus of double their normal amount.

The M13B Assault Rifle is the ultimate prize. You may employ this effective weapon in any Modern Warfare 2 or Warzone 2.0 mode; it is a component of the Bruen Ops Platform, with the brand-new BAS-P SMG.

Exfil

The outcome of each battle depends on the decisions made by the players and the repercussions they face, although getting out of the Exclusion Zone is always the primary goal.

Everything you acquire in DMZ that is stored in your Loadout or Backpack will be lost if you die, a feature intended to make each match count. If everyone in a squad dies, the game ends, and the valuable treasure is lost forever, but players can still be resurrected by their comrades if they drop (albeit it will take longer than the typical downed revival).

Only firearms that are covered by insurance and are part of your Stash are excluded.

What We Have Seen So Far is Only the First Step

In Al Mazrah, we’ve created a large, dynamic environment filled with difficult foes, an intricate mission structure, fun side missions, hidden areas, and more. We want to find novel applications for currency and loot in the future, which will allow us to better compensate players for exfiltration.

We are quite interested in seeing how DMZ performs in the wild, as it was not designed to duplicate. We invite gamers to send us tales of their exploits and comments on their experiences. Beginning on November 16th, I’ll be in Al Mazrah.
