Late on Thursday, United States District Judge T. Kent Wetherell concurred with Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody and issued a temporary restraining order against the program. The judge stated that the policy violated federal law and issued the order as a result.
This week, the administration of Vice President Joe Biden published the policy in an effort to help deal with the anticipated increase in the number of migrants entering the country as a result of the expiration of a public-health directive known as a Title 42 order on Thursday.
