Boost Mobile has announced the expansion of its device offerings to include tablets and smartwatches for the first time. The mobile service provider will now sell Apple iPads and Apple Watches directly to its customers, along with new dedicated monthly data plans designed specifically for these devices.
The new tablet plan is priced at $20 per month, intended for cellular-enabled iPads. A separate smartwatch plan, priced at $10 per month, is designed for cellular models of the Apple Watch. These lines will complement your existing phone plan, with users paying an additional flat fee to add data to their secondary devices. The plans allow the devices to connect to Boost Mobile’s network independently, keeping you connected even when your phone is out of reach.
To incentivize adoption, Boost Mobile is offering limited-time promotional discounts for its current customers with active phone lines. Existing customers can receive a $100 discount on a new Apple Watch when activating it on the $10 per month smartwatch plan with a 36-month device financing agreement. Similarly, a $100 discount is available on the purchase of a new iPad when activating it on the $20 per month tablet plan, also with a 36-month financing commitment.
Boost Mobile customers can choose from a range of iPad models, including the high-performance 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pro models with the M4 chip, the 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Air with the M3 chip, the compact iPad mini with the A17 Pro chip, and the standard 11-inch iPad with the A16 chip.
On the smartwatch side, the Apple Watch Series 10, Apple Watch Ultra 2, and Apple Watch SE are available. Customers can purchase these devices directly through Boost Mobile and take advantage of the additional secondary line and potential savings through the aforementioned promotional offers.
Sean Lee, SVP of Consumer Product and Marketing at Boost Mobile, stated, “With our fast, reliable, and affordable 5G network, both new and long-time Boost Mobile customers want more ways to stay connected—and I’m proud to say that with today’s launch we’re delivering exactly that.”
He further added, “As we continue to expand our product offerings with iPad and Apple Watch, we’re excited to bring Apple’s industry-leading products to our customers. With unbeatable pricing and flexible plans, Boost Mobile is making it easier than ever for customers to stay connected.”
Currently, the selection of devices includes only Apple products. While other carriers offer Android tablets and Wear OS watches, it remains to be seen whether Boost Mobile will expand to include these options in the future.
